- Description
- The Eldorado National Forest is soliciting competitive offers for the Sun Dawg Stewardship Project. The Sun Dawg Stewardship Project is located within T.12 N., R.11 E and T.13 N., R.11 E., M.D.B.&M. Sealed ? ?Best Value? offers will be received at the Forest Supervisor's Office at 10:00 AM local time on July 6, 2004, for an estimated 6010 hundred cubic feet (CCF) (3041M board feet) of timber marked or otherwise designated for cutting on 949 acres and 2 stewardship projects. Stewardship projects are: small tree (non-sawtimber) thinning and removal on 927 acres and machine piling vegetative debris on 606 acres. In addition there is within the contract area an unestimated volume of combined softwood cull logs that the offeror may agree to remove. Contract contains Specified Roads with an estimated public works construction cost of $100,059.14 plus deposits for Road Reconstruction Engineering. Bidders qualifying as "Small Business concerns" under the Small Business Act, may elect when submitting an offer, for the Forest Service to build permanent roads. Additional information concerning this option is in the prospectus. A prospectus is available to the public and interested offerors from the offices listed below. Information concerning the timber and stewardship projects specific to this project, and submission of offers is available to the public from the District Ranger, Georgetown Ranger District, 7600 Wentworth Springs Road, Georgetown, CA 95634 or the Forest Supervisor, 100 Forni Road, Placerville, California 95667.
