- Description
- The National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA) has a requirement for front entry body armor vests that meets or exceeds the following performance requirements: Certified under Federal Standard 0101.04; ballistic certification of 1,528 ft. per second; stab and shank resistant, capable of stopping an awl pick at 65 Joules (i.e. 49.9 Ft-Lb.); Weight factor of the ballistic material ?aerial density of 74 Lb/Sq.Ft.; thickness of ballistic material of 0.15?; outer carrier cover fabric that is Cool-Tek mesh on both sides; 5? overlap of ballistic material in front; 5x8? soft trauma plate; and removable suspension and fastening straps. Vests are required to be delivered within 6 weeks of award.
