- TO CORRECT CLOSING DATE POSTED BELOW FROM 24 MAY 04 TO 25 MAY 04. TO EXTEND CLOSING DATE FROM 25 MAY 04 TO 7 JUNE 04. WORK SHALL BEGIN ON OR AROUND 20 JULY 04. ANY REQUESTS MUST BE WITH YOUR COMPANY NAME, ADDRESS, TELEPHONE AND FAX NUMBER, PLEASE NO EMAILS UNABLE TO ACCESS IT. NO SUBSTITUTIONS SHALL BE ACCEPTABLE. The United State Naval Academy (USNA) has a requirement for the Naval Reserve Center in Baltimore for the following: Clin 0001 ? Dry-dock ? Furnish labor, material and equipment to dry-dock and block the vessel. On completion of all repairs undock the vessel. 1 Each. Clin 0002 ? Lay Day ? Furnish necessary lay days on dry-dock to complete all repairs. Lay days begin upon entering sill of dry-dock and end upon departing sill of dry-dock. Lay days shall be charged for each day or part thereof. 12 Days. Clin 0003 ? Services. 0003AA ? Gangway (required) 1 Each. Clin 0003AB ? Shore power (hook up and disconnect). 1 Each. Clin 0003AC ? Shore power daily. 12 Day. Clin 0003AD ? Marine Chemist. 1 Day. Clin 0003AE ? Competent person checks. 10 Days. Clin 0004 Exterior sandblasting and painting. Clin 0004AA ? Furnish labor, material and equipment to setup and sandblast entire exterior and well deck of vessel to near white metal. Apply two (2) coats of 235 to exterior and one (1) coat of anti-fouling to under water hull. C Each. Clin 0004AA ? Furnish labor, material and equipment to paint all deck fittings approximately forty-five (45) white or haze gray as original with two (2) coats of 235. 1 Each. Clin 0004AC ? Furnish labor, material and equipment to apply non-skid surface to entire deck. 1 Each. Clin 0005 ? railings and stanchions ? furnish labor, material, and equipment to remove wire rope from stanchions around LCU. Remove twenty-eight (28) 2-1/2 inch by 40 inch deck stanchions to shop. Setup sandblast to near white metal and apply tow (2) coats of 235 haze gray paint. Transport back to vessel and install. Sandblast tonear white metal the 1 inch fixed handrail forward of aft house and apply two (2) coats 235 haze gray finish. Re-install wire rope. 1 Each. Clin 0006 ? hatches Two (2) 31 inch by 25 inch ? Furnish labor, material and equipment to sandblast the exterior of hatches tonear white metal and power tool the inside and around opening. Apply two (2) coats of white to exterior and interior. 1 Each. Clin 0007 ? After house interior ? Furnish labor, material and equipment to cover up all components of interior of aft house and remove upon completion of work. Set up and power tool interior bulkheads. Overhead and deck and apply two (2) coats of 235 paint. 1 Each. Clin 0008 ? Drafts and names ? Furnish labor, material and equipment to paint in drafts forward, aft port, and starboard. Paint two (2) numbers ?27? on forward and aft exterior bulkheads of aft house, approximately 12 inch high. Paint ACU and two (2) numbers approximately 2 inch high on port and starboard forward sides and on stem. 1 Each. This solicitation shall close on Monday 24 May 2004, at 3:30 PM local time.
