Description

Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award a contract modification for the effort required to conduct Power Harmonics Risk Mitigation Testing between the SSGN Power System and the Tomahawk Block III AUR AC/DC Converters. The tasking associated with this effort includes, but is not limited to, the systems engineering and systems test efforts required for SSGN Power Harmonics Test planning, execution, analysis, and reporting phases. This effort also includes the development of a Power Harmonics Test Procedure and a Power Harmonics Test Report. NAVAIR intends to award this effort to Raytheon Systems Company (RSC), P.O. Box 11337, Tucson, AZ 85734-1337. Raytheon is the only company capable of performing this effort. Since 1994, RSC has been the sole developer, designer and manufacturer for the Tomahawk All-Up-Round (AUR). RSC solely posesses the current configuration and manufacturing data for the Tactical Tomahawk missile. RSC currently manages the key requirements, interface, integration, and verification documents for the Tomahawk Weapons System. Because a detailed knowledge and expertise of the Tactical Tomahawk missile is required to perform this effort, RSC is the only source capable of accomplishing these requirements in the required timeframe and without duplication of costs.
