- DESC: Access Cover FOR THE M249 MACHINE GUN, NSN: 5340-01-381-1924, Part Number 12557022. This solicitation will result in a 3 year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity award to a 100% small business set-aside for the access cover. The minimum guaranteed quantity would be 6,000 each. The item to procure is Access Cover, Part is close tolerance and machined from an aluminum alloy, bar grade 2014-T6 with a hard anodic coating class 2, dyed, color black. The part is approximately 10 in x 2.5 i n x 1 in. FOB is Destination. For use on the M249 Machine Gun. Estimated issue date is 15 Jun 04. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic cop y may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments, which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. Proposed contract is 100% small business s et-aside. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the internet. Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal is instructed to request it by submission of an email request to: tacom-ri- tdp@ria.army.mil. Any said requests should contain the following information; CAGE Code (if available), Company Name, Point of Contact (optional), Street Address, City, State, Zip Code, Telephone Number. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the s olicitation has been released to the internet. All or a part of this action is an unfunded FY04 requirement.
