- Description
- The Air Force Flight Test Center intends to issue a contract for Elevator Repair, Upgrade and Testing of approximately twenty-four (24) elevators. The contract will have a four month performance period. This acquisition will be conducted under full and open competition. NAICS Code is 811310. Proposals will be due 21 calendar days after the issuance of the solicitation. The estimated release date for the solicition is 11 Jun 04. The list below shows the tasks to be performed and the number of elevators involved: Load Testing ? 23 P&I* Pipe Stands ? 12 P&I Controller ? 3 P&I Fire Extinguishers - 9 P&I Detector Edge - 3 P&I Emergency Lights - 4 P&I Phone ? 5 [Dumb waiter] cleaning, painting, door adjustment - 1 *P&I ? Purchase and Install Elevator maintenance and repair services must conform to all applicable standards and codes which include, but are not limited to the following: ANSI/ASME A17 ? Safety Code for Elevators, Dumbwaiters, Escalators, and Moving Walks; U.S.C. Title 42, 126, III ? Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990; State Codes such as: California Elevator Safety Construction Code (Title 24, Part 7, 1995); ASME QEI-1-1993 ? Qualification of Elevator Inspectors and ISO 4101:1983 ? Drawn Steel Wire for Elevator Ropes; OSHA Standards (29 CFR) 1917.116 ? Elevators and Escalators; Local and State Building Codes. A site visit will be conducted on Friday, 18-Jun-04 at 9:00 am. No more than two (2) contractor representives per company may attend. All visitors must be U.S. citizens.
