- Description
- The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, with BMC Software for technical support for a one-year period, from the date of the award. CMS owns the BMC software product suite known as InControl. During the Phase I period of technical support, BMC Software accomplished the design, script customization, validation testing and implementation of the InControl software suite; in support of the CMS Enterprise User Administration system. In Phase II, CMS requires technical support from BMC for the InControl product suite for: Maintenance of the CMS Enterprise User Administration system; Change customized scripts to accommodate the implementation of new InControl software releases; Maintenance of customized scripts and creation of additional customized scripts as required; Creation of additional templates, job codes and workflow processes; Maintenance of customized PassPort certification software; Creation of customized Oracle WorkFlow Pl/SQL functions, in addition to standard Control-SA functions; Maintenance support for WorkFlow Administration; Creation of customized management reports; Maintenance and creation of WorkFlow User exits. The procurement will be conducted under other than full and open competition, under the authority of 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1). If no affirmative written documentation is received within (15) calendar days of this synopsis, CMS will proceed with negotiations to issue an award to BMC Software.
