Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends on entering into a sole source procurement with Computer Applications Specialists (CAS), of Laurel, MD, under the authority of FAR Subsection 13.106-1(b). This procurement is for maintenance, updates, and training support services for CAS?s ABS custom software modifications, which were produced by and are proprietary to CAS and were installed at NIST. The ABS software was originally modified by CAS to meet the needs of the NIST Technology Services, Measurement Services Division for menu driver, sales orders, inventory control, purchase order management, fax software, bar code support, and accounts receivable information. This procurement is for one (base) year and one option year. It is anticipated that a firm-fixed price purchase order will be awarded. No RFQ package is available. Any interested party may submit, in writing, a detailed capability statement to respond to this requirement. However, a determination by the Government to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for quotes. If no affirmative responses are received by June 7 at 10:00am local time, the Contracting Officer will proceed with the award to CAS.
