Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound (FISCPS) are soliciting for two percent thoriated tungsten electrodes. Electrodes will be 3/32” in diameter by 1-3/8” long, tapered tip at 20 degrees, and a 0.015” diameter tip. Estimated quantity is 50,000 each per year with delivery being made to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, WA on a delivery order basis. The indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract will be for a base period of performance beginning 28 April 2004 through one year thereafter, with the possibility of four one-year option periods. The 100 percent small business set-aside (NAICS 333992) commercial solicitation will be issued on or about 19 March 2004 with a closing date of 9 April 2004. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link www.neco.navy.mil. All offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website and to frequently monitor the site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to rabi.peifer@navy.mil will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. Please do not call with questions regarding the posting of the solicitation on NECO until after the posting date 12 March 2004. No bid list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ / Amendments will be mailed. Materials are procured in accordance with FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 13.5, Simplified Acquisition Procedures Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (09-MAR-2004).
