- Continuity of Operations Request for Information (RFI) Only This announcement constitutes a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) to determine industry interest and capabilities. Information contained in this RFI is for information purposes only. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement and/or any follow-up information requests. There is no solicitation available at this time, nor is there any additional information available to support this announcement. The U.S. International Trade Commission (Commission), Chief Information Office (CIO), is seeking information on corporate capabilities to develop and implement a business Continuity of Operations plan for the agency. Background The Commission is an independent, nonpartisan, quasi-judicial federal agency that provides trade expertise to both the legislative and executive branches of government, determines the impact of imports on U.S. industries, and directs actions against certain unfair trade practices, such as patent, trademark, and copyright infringement. The mission of the Commission is to: (1) administer U.S. trade remedy laws within its mandate in a fair and objective manner; (2) provide the President, USTR, and Congress with independent, quality analysis, information, and support on matters of tariffs and international trade and competitiveness; and (3) maintain the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States. In so doing, the Commission serves the public by implementing U.S. law and contributing to the development and implementation of sound and informed U.S. trade policy. Information about the Commission is available at http://www.usitc.gov Services Required 1. Develop a Business Continuity Plan that will detail procedures for continued operations for USITC personnel in the event of a disruption to normal operations. 2. Develop a Disaster Recovery Plan that identifies components and support necessary to respond to and recover from operational disasters. This Business Continuity Plan shall be prepared in accordance with National Institutes of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-34, Contingency Planning Guide for Information Technology Systems. Responses Firms responding to this RFI should provide a summary of their capabilities and experience, including company name, address, phone number, point of contact, e-mail address. Interested firms should address whether they can fulfill the required services via GSA schedules. Additionally, firms should limit their responses to no more than twenty pages of material, using Times New Roman 12 pt font or equivalent. Firms are requested to respond via e-mail within ten days after the posting date of this notice to Deborah.Kearns@usitc.gov. Interested firms may e-mail comments or questions to the same contact.
