- NAICS Code: 721110 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) Office of Radiation and Indoor Air (ORIA) intends to award a sole source firm fixed-price Purchase Order using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Fort Leavenworth, KS Lodging. The purpose of this acquisition is to obtain sleeping rooms for 84 attendees of ORIA's no-fault training exercise that will test EPA's response to a radiological emergency, to be held July 26-30, 2004. In order to gain the knowledge needed from a training exercise of this type, a secured area is needed for the various components, i.e., debris fields, mobile laboratory sites, classrooms, and large meeting spaces. The Fort Leavenworth site is uniquely qualified to satisfy the Government's requirement due to the fact that it is the only known site that is availabe for deploying mobile laboratory elements from Las Vegas, NV and Montogomery, AL with facilities available during the necessary time frame, and at the Government per diem lodging rate. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 721110. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. Notwithstanding, any firm who believes it is capable of meeting EPA's requirement as stated herein may submit a response, which if received within 10 calendar days of the date of this announcement will be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
