Description
The Department of the Navy, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center - San Diego (SPAWARSYSCEN SAN DIEGO) intends to issue solicitation No. N66001-04-R-0053, to procure fifty (50) Target MK 44 MOD 0, twenty (20) MK 44 MOD 1, forty (40) MK 46 MOD 0, twenty (25) MK 50 MOD 0 Very Shallow Water Exercise & Training (E&T) mines and spare parts for each target mines. This effort requires at least 2 years of technical experiences in manufacturing complex fiberglass reinforced plastic shapes from molds and the mixing of hot viscous liquids in vacuum chambers. The Navy intends to solicit and award a one-time buy with delivery of one year, single award, firm fixed price contract for all line items. This procurement is planned for a 100% small business set-aside. The applicable NAICS is 326199 and the small business size is 500 employees. Selection will be based on low priced technically acceptable considerations in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations 15.101-2. Award will be made to the lowest priced proposal among those determined to be technically acceptable. All potential offerors are reminded, in accordance with DFARS 252.204-7004, REQUIRED CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (NOV 2003), lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. The estimated release date for the solicitation is on or about June 16, 2004. Electronic copies of the solicitation will be available for download via the Internet World Wide Web at the SPAWAR E-Commerce Central Business Opportunity Page, Systems Center - San Diego, "Open Solicitations", https://e-commerce.spawar.navy.mil/. The Government will not provide hard copy versions of the solicitation and any subsequent amendments. Notification of any changes (amendments) to the solicitation will be made only on the Internet; it will be the contractor?s responsibility to check the website for any posted changes. All prospective offerors and plan rooms are encouraged to register for automatic e-mail notification of changes/amendments on the website.
