- THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for a Commercial Item prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are requested by this notice, a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-26. This solicitation is a small business set-aside. Solicitation/reference number 10101182 is issued as a competitive request for proposal (RFP). The Naval Air Warfare Center Lakehurst has a requirement for 150 each Steel Bars 3.625" diameter x 18 - 22" length. Material shall be IAW SAE-AMS 6348B or SAE-AMS 6528B (SAE 4130), normalized, except macrostructure shall be no worse than S1-R1-C1 IAW ASTM E381. Material shall be ultrasonically tested IAW MIL-STD-2154, Class A. Steel bars shall be packaged 5 each per bundle. Waterproff tag with contract number and heat code number shall be attached to each bundle. Each steel bar shall be metal stamped on both ends with the heat code in characters NLT 1/4" high. Material and ultrasonic testing certifications are required. All certifications shall be sent to: Clifford Elder, NAWCAD, 48M300B148-1, Highway 547, Lakehurst, NJ. All proposals are to include price per bar, total price, discount and delivery terms. Companies submitting their proposals shall also include their size, status,CAGE,DUNS and TAX ID numbers as well as a point of contact, telephone, fax numbers and email address.
