Description: The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a sole source modification under contract N00019-03-C-0018 with Smiths Aerospace, Electronic Systems, Grand Rapids MI for non-recurring engineering efforts to address obsolescence issues and verification testing on the Tactical Aircraft Moving Map Capability (TAMMAC) Advanced Memory Unit (AMU). Smiths Aerospace is the sole designer, developer and supplier of the AMU and is the only source with the knowledge, expertise, tooling, equipment and technical data required to meet the program?s performance and schedule requirements.
