- Description
- The USDA Forest Service Region 2 has a requirement to provide Urban Forestry training and placement for students at the Pine Knot Job Corps Center, McCreary County, Kentucky, Ouachita Job Corps Center, Garland County, Arkansas, and Angell Job Corps Center, Linclon County, Oregon. The Job Corps provides young adults the necessary job training, which enables them to gain meaningful employment upon graduation. The proposed project includes the training and placement of students involved in the Urban Forestry Program as well as the supply and maintenance of training equipment/materials. Pine Knot Job Corps Center is located 3 miles south of Whitby City, Kentucky, on Highway 27. The center is located on the right side of the highway. Ouachita Job Corps Center is located 15 miles west of Hot Springs, Arkansas, on Highway 270. Follow signs to the center. Angell Job Corps Center is located 5 miles south of Waldport, Oregon on U.S. Highway 101. The performance period for the proposed contract is a base year and 4 option years. Award of a firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, transportation, operating supplies and incidentals necessary to complete the work described in accordance with the terms, specifications and provisions of the contract.
