- Description
- Nine (9) Heavy standard or restricted category type l helitanker helicopters. Helicopters shall be equipped with fixed Suppressant/Retardant delivery tank. Fixed tank systems proposed for use under this solicitation shall meet the requirements of the Interagency Air Tanker Board (IATB) and shall be in compliance with the IATB approval procedures at least 45 days before start of the availability period. Primary use is for fire fighting. Aircraft will be based at the following locations: (1) Placerville, CA, estimated contract period from June 3, 2004 through September 30, 2004; (2) Frazier Park, CA, estimated contract period from June 3, 2004 through September 30, 2004; (3) Porterville, CA, estimated contract period from June 3, 2004 through September 30, 2004; (4) Mariposa, CA, estimated contract period from June 3, 2004 through September 30, 2004. (5) Chester, CA, estimated contract period from June 3, 2004 through September 30, 2004. (6) Montague, CA, estimated contract period from June 3, 2004 through September 30, 2004. (7) Show Lo, AZ, estimated contract period from June 3, 2004 through September 30, 2004. (8) Alamogordo, NM, estimated contract period from June 3, 2004 through September 30, 2004. (9) Tucson, AZ, estimated contract period from June 3, 2004 through September 30, 2004. Contract duration for all items is from June 3, 2004 through September 30, 2004.
