- Description
- In accordance with the procedures specified in the revised OMB Circular A-76 (Attachment B, B.1), dated May 29, 2003, this notification represents the formal public announcement and official start date of a streamlined competition on the commercial activity functions performed at the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Program Support Center (PSC), Human Resources Service (HRS), Division of Commissioned Personnel (DCP), Medical Affairs Branch (MAB), Beneficiary Medical Program (BMP) section. The BMP, which is located in Rockville, Maryland, provides overall management of health care access for active-duty officers and the fiscal management of health care claims for active duty and retired officers of the Public Health Service and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration corps officers. Government personnel consisting of 5 commercial activity FTEs represent the incumbent service provider. The estimated work years will consist of a base year and four option years. The designated Competitive Sourcing Official is Mike Blank, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Program Support, Director PSC. His point of contact is Creighton Glantz. The responsible contracting officer is Michele Trotter and the Agency Tender Official is Captain William Atwood. The projected end date of this competition is December 15, 2003.
