- The Tool Kit, Engineer Construction, Carpenter Shop(CTS) is specifically organized to provide the military construction engineer with the tools that it takes to perform the most common type of carpentry tasks encountered during the execution of const ruction missions in a theater of operations(TO) or during contingency operations. The CTS provides a selection of corded electrical hand tools, pneumatic carpentry hand tools, and special application hand tools to perform carpentry construction, maintenan ce, and repair tasks on Army Facilities Components System (AFCS) products; on existing facilities; on facilities camouflage; and on repairing battle damage. The CTS consists of five storage and transportation chests from which work teams of soldier-capent ers can withdraw a variety of saws, drills, nailers, and supporting tools for use at dispersed sites. The CTS also contains the equipment necessary to set-up and operate a capentry fabrication shop. This announcement is being published for subcontracting purposes only. The Army is soliciting proposals from contract awardees under the Sets, Kits and Outfits solicitation DAAE20-02-R-0193, Segment 2, Construction/Engineer Tool Kits for the Tool Kit, Eng ineer Construction, Carpenter Shop (CTS). The estimated issue date is 24 February 2004. The Contract awardees are as follows: (1) Kipper Tool Co., 870 Grove Street, Gainesville, GA 30503; (2) Power Manufacturing, 1495 Hwy 51 N, Covington, TN 38019; (3) D ynamic Sports, LLC, 7177 Convoy Ct, Suite A, San Diego, CA 92111; (4) Midland Supply Inc., 98 County Street, Attleboro, MA 02703; (5) Grainger Industrial Supply, 961 E. 53rd Street, Davenport, IA 52807. The components of the tool sets will be specified in the Decription for Purchase provided to the contractors listed above. It is anticipated that this procurement will result in a firm fixed price, 5 year-Indefinite Delivery Quantity of 2 each. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (24-JUL-2002).
