- Description
- This is a requirement for overhaul. The contractor shall provide all labor, facilities, equipment and all material except that offered in Appendix “B” of the solicitation to accomplish overhaul, test, packing, preservation and packaging of the B1-B Heat Exchanger, Precooler. A firm fixed price requirements type contract is contemplated. The contract period will be one year with seven one-year options. The items and quantities are as follows: Item 0001: Repair NSN 1660-01-374-8668, P/N: UA537577-5; Noun: Heat Exchanger, Precooler; Applicable to B1-B aircraft; Basic Year Quantity: 12 each; Option I Year Quantity: 12 each; Option II Year Quantity: 12 each; Option III Year Quantity: 12 each; Option IV Year Quantity: 12 each; Option V Year Quantity: 12 each; Option VI Year Quantity: 12 each; Option VII Year Quantity: 12 each. Item 0002: Overhaul/Re-Manufacture (Re-Core) NSN: 1660-01-374-8668, P/N: UA 537577-5; Noun: Heat Exchanger, Precooler; Applicable to B1-B aircraft; Basic Year Quantity: 4 each; Option I Year Quantity: 4 each; Option II Year Quantity: 4 each; Option III Year Quantity: 4 each; Option IV Year Quantity: 4 each; Option V Year Quantity: 4 each; Option VI Year Quantity: 4 each; Option VII Year Quantity: 4 each. Item 0003: Over and Above Work; Item 0004: Data IAW DD1423s. Deliveries are to be in accordance with instructions received from the Production Management Specialist prior to shipment(s): Item 0001: on or before 2 per month 30 days ARO and reparable assets; Item 0002: 1 per month 60 days ARO and reparable assets. Qualification requirements apply, technical data not available. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 25 Sep 2003. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with Far clause 52.209-1. NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
