- Description
- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for the purchase of 8 custom Digital Signal Prcessor (DSP) Boards which are designed to increase the processing capacity of an existing DSP for a Wavefront sensing device. NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from BittWare Inc., The reason NASA intends to purchase these items from BittWare is because of their manufacturing of the Wavefront Sensing device specifically for NASA. The government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR part 13. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in wring to the identified point of contact no later than 4:30p.m. local time on 6/16/2004. The capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Determinance by the Government to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and [OMBUDSMAN STATEMENT IS REQUIRED] An Ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B".
