- This is combined synopsis/solicatittion for commercial items prepared in accordance with format in subpart 12 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation quotes are being required and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Regional Contracting Office, NE currently has a requirement for a Furnance, dual chamber, standard voltage is 230 volts single phase, the heating chambers are constructed of 2.5" of the best quality high temperature fireback, backed by 1.5" of high temperature board insulation. The inside dimensions of the upper chamber are 12" wide by 8" tall by 40" deep. Maximum temperature is 2250 degrees F in the upper hardening chamber. The door of the upper chamber opens up and away from the furnance opening. A Kaowool rope seal is installed on the door where it meets the upper cham ber. The heavy duty door hardware on the upper chamber is spring balanced for easy operation and keeps the door securely in either the open or closed position. The lower chamber includes a stainless steel recirulation fan and has inside dimensions of 12" w by 8"tall by 37" d. The door of the lower chamber swings open to one side. Maximum temperature is 1250 degrees F. Both chambers of the furnance are equipped with a microprocessor based Watlow F4H, 1/4 256 programming steps for use in up to 40 user nameable profiles.
