- Description
- The Government intends to solicit engineering technical services and engineering support for the AV-8 fleet of aircraft assigned to 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, MCAS, Cherry Point, NC. The period of performance will be 01 August 2004 thru 31 July 2005 with provision for three (3) one year options. The Government intends to enter into sole source negotiations with Boeing Aerospace Operations, Inc. Midwest, OK based on the belief that Boeing Aerospace, Inc., the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), has the proprietary rights to the technical data for this equipment. In order to perform these services, access to the technical database for the identified equipment in its current configuration is essential. Boeing designed, developed, and manufactured the identified equipment and is the only source with access to the database in its current configuration. Boeing Aerospace, Inc. can provide OEM product support and access to data that facilitates rapid redeployment and contributes to improved mission capability that no other vendor can offer. Note 22.
