- An IDIQ contract, base year with four one-year options, is planned to Applied Biosystems for a limited, non-exclusive sublicense under certain patents owned by Roche Molecular Systems, Inc. and their affiliates and claiming nucleic acid amplification techniques including, inter alia, a process known as the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR). ABI offers commercial services sublicenses to both for- profit and non-profit PCR users under which running royalties are based on the gross invoice price charged f or licensed services.
