Description

The USDA, ARS, NPA, U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (MARC), Clay Center, NE has a requirement for three new Center Pivot Irrigation Systems to replace three damaged in a storm 5/22/2004. The Center Pivot Irrigation Systems will be used to irrigate land used to produce forage and feed for livestock populations required for research programs. Therefore, time-frames to erect the new systems must be minimized and authorized by a MARC representative. Also, it is imperative that parts and service be readily available. This solicitation permits providing either electric or hydrostatic driven systems. The center pivot systems are typical quarter section pivots. Work will include supply, delivery, and installation of the systems in three fields. This solicitation is being conducted using commercial items best value procedures.
