STATEMENT OF WORK SUPPLEMENTAL TASKS 1.0 Background NSWC INDIAN HEAD INTENDS TO ISSUE A MODIFICATION TO CONTRACT N00174-02-C-0025 to develop and to qualify an electronic time delay cartridge for use in various escape system applications. This is a sole source adquisition to be negotiated with Quantic Industries Inc, 1010 Commercial Street, San Carlo, CA 94070. the NAICS code 541710 and FSC Code AC14. 4.0 Requirements 4.1 The contractor shall conduct a complete Critical Design Review (CDR) for the initial electronic time delay cartridge design, the USN alternative CCU-40A/A cartridge. 4.2 The contractor shall develop and conceptually test an electronic time delay alternative cartridge design for the current MU19/MJ93 0.700-second delay cartridge. 4.3 The contractor shall prepare and submit the proposed manufacturing and assembly processes for both the al ternative CCU-40A/A and MU19/MJ93 electronic time delay cartridges. 4.4 The contractor shall develop sub-component non-destructive test methodologies for both of the proposed cartridges. The contractor shall include these test methodologies as part of the proposed manufacturing and assembly process plans. 5.0 Tasks 5.1 The contractor shall prepare and conduct a Critical Design Review (CDR) for the CCU-40A/A electronic time delay cartridge in accordance with applicable contractor specifications. The contractor shall submit a draft of this presentation to the Government team 15 days prior to the proposed Review date and the contractor shall host the Review at their facility on that selected date. 5.2 The contractor shall develop and conceptually test an alternative to the current MU19/MJ93 0.700-second delay cartridge. Identical sub-components are to be utili zed for this design wherever possible and the differing sub-components fully developed and documented where necessary. The contractor shall conduct a limited number of concept development tests with this proposed cartridge design. 5.3 The contractor shall develop manufacturing and assembly processes for both cartridge designs. The contractor shall document the proposed manufacturing and assembly for the sub-components and full-up cartridges in accordance with applicable contractor specifications. 5.4 The contractor shall develop non-destructive test methodologies for the sub-components included in both the proposed electronic time delay cartridge designs. These non-destructive test methodologies should be included in the proposed manufacturing and assembly processes presented to the Government team. The contractor shall estimate the time duration required for each non-destructive test and the contractor shall also offer an estimate of the reject rate resulting from each proposed sub-component test. 6.0 Deliverables Deliverable Delivery Date Draft CDR Presentation 15 days prior to the selected CDR date Critical Design Review 2 days at the contractor facility CDR Minutes/Action Items NLT 30 days after the CDR date 7.0 Government Furnished Material N/A
