Description
The Carderock Division Naval Surface Warfare Center intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Telephonics Corporation. The contractor shall provide 33 each TruLink Wireless Radio Portable Transceivers and 6 each Charging Stations. The following are the requirements/specifications: a. Full Duplex- minimum of 5 simultaneous talkers. b. Selectable Channels- minimum 5 user selectable channels. c. Fully portable/stand alone- the transceivers communicate independently and without the use of a base station. d. Headset Integration- the transceiver shall have an audio connector that is commercially available, and is compatible with a headset that will integrate with Marine Corps ballistic helmets and meets the Marine Corps requirements for sound protection. e. Hands-Free Operation- the user shall be able to communicate by simply speaking into the microphone. f. Power- th e transceiver shall be powered by common rechargeable batteries (i.e. AA, AAA, etc.) and provide 8 hours of operation with the installed batteries. A multi-unit desktop charging station shall be provided. g. Weight- the transceiver shall be less than one pound with batteries. h. Environmental- the transceivers shall be water resistant and/or waterproof. i. Security- the transceiver shall incorporate voice encryption/scrambling (military or commercial) and/or frequency hopping. j. Range- minimum 500 meters. k. Power Output- 50-100 mW (selectable). l. Power Source- 3 AA rechargeable batteries. m. Run Time- Approx. 8-10 hours at 100mW (depending on talk time). n. Four-Unit Charger. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements under the authority of FAR 6.302.1.
