- Description
- The United States Navy?s Military Sealift Command (MSC) has a requirement for Information Assurance (IA) support services necessary to ensure adequate protection of MSC?s Information Technology (IT) systems. The contractor shall provide IA support services to ensure all components of MSC?s IT systems and networks are operating effectively and securely according to Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Navy (DoN), USTC and MSC policies and procedures. This includes: managing and monitoring MSC?s perimeter network security components, managing and monitoring intrusion detection support services, Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM), incident response and reporting, infrastructure configuration management, and managing MSC?s Defense Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process (DITSCAP). This is a firm fixed price contract with an anticipated initial performance period of one year (starting 1 October 2004) with four one-year options. This procurement will be an 8(a) competitive acquisition. The acquisition will be classified under the North American Industrial Classification code 541513, with a small business size standard of $21,000,000.00. Small Business Administration approved 8(a) joint ventures will be considered. MSC will issue a Special Notice to FEDBIZZOPS approximately 4 June 2004 that will provide further information on the acquisition and request interested offerors to respond to a Sample Task. The solicitation will follow the Special Notice.
