- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Office of Employee Development (OED), Leadership Development Program has a requirement for specialized services and acknowledged as the experts in the combined power of knowledge and experience in science, human systems dynamics (particularly an understanding of the distribution and use of influence power), and in the development of leadership-centered cultures. An intimate understanding of the vision and goals of the U.S. Geological Leadership 101, Leadership 201, and Leadership Intensive courses, and an understanding of the USGS Strategic Plan is imperative so that new processes can be expediently explored, tested and recommended for the Leadership Development Program, and the LDP will be able to more effectively move towards the goal stated in the USGS Strategic Plan. Expertise in complex human systems dynamics as well as how to interface this approach with developing a leadership-centered culture is critical to the attainment of our vision. Based on the information available at this time and in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, the Government considers the specialized services as a sole-source from Sungate Advisors, Greensboro, NC and proposes to negotiate a contract with that firm on that basis. However, should additional sources be identified, they will be considered. Vendors who feel that they can furnish the specialized services are invited to submit in writing an affirmative response to this announcement. An affirmative response would include literature, brochures and other materials that correspond to the required services stated herein. This information will be evaluated and used to determine if competitive opportunities exist. No solicitation document exists, therefore, requests for such documents without accompanying information will be considered non-responsive to this request without further consideration. This notice may represent the Government's only official notice of this procurement. See numbered note 22.
