Description

POC: Joseph West (309) 782-3436, email: westj@osc.army.mil DESC: SOURCES SOUGHT, 40MM M661 Green Star Parachute, NSN: 1310-00-541-6148, P/N: 9317509, Quantity: 19,976, Unit Of Issue: Each. The Army Field Support Command is conducting a market research to identify potential sources interested in manufacturing 19,976 each, M661 Green Star Parachute for the 40MM CTG. The M661 Green Star Parachute is similar to the M583 White Star Parachute, the primary difference being the Flare Candle. The M661 Green Star Parachute is fired from the M203 or M79 Grenade Launcher (Government Furnished). The M203 and M79 Grenade Launcher are required to be stored in a secured building. Potential offerors are reque sted to submit a written response (e-mail is acceptable) expressing interest. Tech Data will not be issued at this time. Following review of this information, if the Government decides to continue this concept, a formal solicitation will be issued. At tha t time prospective offerors may access the technical data, which will be issued via the Internet. This advertisement for sources does not constitute a Request for Proposal. (RFP). This advertisement is for planning purposes only. Contractors will not be co mpensated for their efforts (time and material).
