- "This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command." Modification 0001 revises the synopsis posted on 17 February 2004, and corrects the NAICS and FSC Codes, and removes all references to a sole source solicitation. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) intends to enter into a firm-fixed price developmental contract for improvements to the Government owned Telepresent Rapid Aiming Platform (TRAP) T-250 systems. These improvements may inc lude but are not limited to the following: an improved hand-held control unit, night operations capability, rapid slew/360 Fahrenheit capability, window sill mount, compatibility with the BA-5590 battery and 24 volt vehicle slave, wider field of view, increased magazine capacity, servo-controlled mechanical weapon safety, and integration of the system with existing sniper detection/slew to cue systems. The Solicitation Number is N00178-04-R-1031. The Solicitation has been amended to reflect a 100 percent Small Business Set-Aside. NSWCDD Procurement Division has implemented Electronic Commerce (EC) in the acquisition area; therefore, this synopsis and any applicable amendments will be available on the World Wide Web at http://www.nswc.navy.mil/wwwDL/XD/SUPPLY. Hard copies WILL NOT be provided. Vendors should regularly access the NSWCDD Web Site to ensure that they have dow nloaded all amendments. DoD will no longer award contracts to contractors not registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) database. Registration may be accomplished by accessing the CCR Web site at http://www.ccr.gov. A paper registration form may be obtained from the DoD Electronic Commerce Information Center at 1-888-227-2423.
