Description
The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) solicits proposals for innovative, high-risk, non-traditional Geospatial Intelligence concepts, technologies and products with a potential for high-payoff (Innovation Program). The Innovation Program is requesting advanced systems, tools, and software that demonstrate significant value-added to Geospatial Intelligence products, data, information, knowledge, decisions, approaches and or techniques. While existing, mature products will not be excluded, the intent is to provide funds to modify and improve innovative systems, products or services that may have not received previous consideration because of missing features or require small to modest changes to better satisfy national security or homeland security requirements. Awardees will be required to formally demonstrate their systems/software, in a venue and context to be defined by the Government, at a future Geospatial Intelligence Symposium or similar NGA participating event, on or about one year after GeoInt 2004. A Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) will be available on the NGA web site at www.nga.mil on or about 03 June 2004 (click on Business Opportunities). All responsible sources capable of providing innovative Geospatial Intelligence concepts and products may submit a proposal for consideration. Proposals will be submitted to the address stated in the BAA on or before 3:00 p.m., local time, Chantilly, VA, on 12 July 2004. A pre-solicitation conference will be held in Chantilly, VA, on or about 17 June 2004 from 10:30 am to noon. Registration information and pertinent details will be available at www.usgif.org. NGA expects to award multiple procurement contracts valued up to a total of $1 million. Award of these contracts is Subject to the Availability of Funds. Awards may range in value from $50k to $500k. Grants, cooperative agreements, and/or other forms of assistance will not be awarded. Selection of awardees will be announced at the Geospatial Intelligence Symposium to be held in New Orleans from 12-14 October 2004.
