Description
The US Department of Veterans Affairs, Austin Automation Center, plans to award a sole source contract to Serengetti Software Company, for the purchase of 170 Link 3770 Software Licenses, technical support for 60 days, and Pro-Level Support for 12 months. NAICS: 511210 Software Publishers. Link 3770 is a proprietary software that is an updgrade to the Austin Automation Centers existing Power 3770 software. Link 3770 features IBM 3776/3777 Model 3 or Model 4 emulation (SNA Logical Unit type 1); LU-LU and SSCP-LU sessions; Up to six concurrent sessions supported; Receive files to console, printer, or disk; Automatic ASCII - EBCDIC translation; PDIR record recognition; FMH 1 and FMH 3 support; Compression is supported on both inbound and outbound data; Compaction is supported on outbound data (data from the host). Supported Host Environments include: Host systems-POWER (DOS/VSE), JES2 and JES3 (MVS), other VTAM environments; Client/Server Version supported links: SDLC, 802.2, (Token Ring or Ethernet), X.25, Channel, DFT, other link(s) supported by the server; Remote Version supported links: SDLC, 802.2 (Token Ring or Ethernet). Advanced features include: Detailed log file with date and time stamps, Session level diagnostics, Auto-dial with the 'AT' (Hayes) command set or V.25bis modems (when used with a Serengeti SDLC adapter), Automatic server LU recognition (SNA Server version), Choice of formatted (automatic) or unformatted logon, "Hot reader" feature allows files to be "dropped off" for automatic transmission, Detailed log file with date and time stamps, Automatic concatenation of transmitted files if desired, Automatic naming of received files, Supports multiple configurations, Support for BTU sizes up to 4K bytes, Supports links to multiple hosts (client version), Transmission and reception of binary files, Real-time session statistics, Configurable ASCII-EBCDIC translation tables, Peripheral Data Interchange Record (PDIR) support allows the host to name files, pass parameters, route files, and more.
