- Description
- The Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS), Turlock, California is soliciting the services of authorized ?collection sites? for collecting cattle brain stem samples for the detection of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE). Samples are needed from cattle scheduled to be rendered in California. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and services to perform the collection of the cattle brain stem samples as defined in the statement of objectives. The national goal is to collect over 200,000 (and up to 400,000) cattle brain stem samples from June 1, 2004 to November 30, 2005. This is a full and open procurement which is to be awarded as a fixed price contract. The solicitation, #RFP 30-M-APHIS-04, is to be affixed to all documents submitted in reference to this requirement. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Paper copies of the RFP and/or amendments will not be issued. The solicitation and statement of objectives will be made available electronically at this website only. All changes to the pre-solicitation notice, solicitation and any attachments shall be posted to the website at: www.FedBizOpps.gov. The offeror must submit a street mailing address and an email address (if available) in all correspondence in reference to this requirement. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be posted to this website on or about May 24, 2004 with responses due back May 27, 2004.
