NOUN: Probe, Static Tube; NSN: 6685-01-214-7238NZ; P/N: 4073980; QTY: 42 or 84 or 126; U/I: Each; DELIVERY: Sept, 2004 to Tinker AFB, OK; APPLICABLE: TO: F100-PW-100/200/220/220E/220F/229 Engines; SIZE/DIMENSIONS: Probe is tubular disign, approx 18 inches in length and 1 1/4 inches in diameter; PREDOMINANT MATERIAL: Titanium; FORM/FIT/FUNCTION: Probe is udes on the F100-PW-100/200/220/220E/220F/229 engines. It's purpose is to provide inlet static pessure to the Digital Engine Electronic Control (DEEC). Anticipated Solicitation Date: 10 Dec 2003. Anticipated Award Date: 31 Jan 2004. No telephone solicitaton requests well be accepted. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be approved sources. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of the SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible Source Approval for future awards. Qualification Requirements (QR's) are not available. Government Furnished drawings are not available. The award is expected to be made to sole source supplier Rosemount Aerospace. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). NOTE: An ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Manager or Contracting Officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
