- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City (NSWC-PC) intend to solicit quotes simplified acquisition (purchase order) of the following equipment from authorized distributors of Force Computers. Six (6) each Force Computer SPARC/CPCI-550/1024-650-L512-8/IPMI 650 MHz CPU, 512 Kbyte L2 cache, 1024 Mbyte SDRAM base board memory, 8 Mbytes user Flash, 1 PMC slot, Force SAP 111214. Six (6) each ACC/RTB-504 CPCI-550 Rear Transition Board for above CPU base board, Force SAP 109044. One (1) each SPARC/SOL 8/RTU/LT, Solaris 8, RTU-license, high-tier-level, license only, Force SAP 109044. This equipment is sought to expand the capabilities of the Coastal Battlefield Reconnaissance and Analysis (COBRA) Processing Station (CPS). The CPS was designed to be scalable by increasing the number of processors and associated equipment. Force Computer parts were used in the original system de sign and NSWC-PC seeks to increase the systems capabilities. Use of any other parts would require extensive and costly testing to ensure 100% compatibility. The cost of these tests would far exceed any cost savings due to alternative parts. Delivery will be to the Receiving Officer, Naval Support Activity Panama City, Building 100, 101 Vernon Avenue, Panama City Beach, FL, 32407-7018. NAICS Code 54151 applies. SBA Size Standard is 500 employees. FSC is 7021. A request for quotation will be utilized in awarding this action on or about 01 June 04.
