- NAICS CODE: 237110, Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction SMALL BUSINESS SIZE STANDARD: $28.5 million TITLE OF PROJECT: Bring Willow Beach Wastewater into Compliance GENERAL: The National Park Service (NPS), Department of Interior (DOI), is soliciting proposals from construction firms having the capability to perform the work described below. This solicitation will be issued electronically on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) web site at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the National Business Center. Proposal documents will be available in Microsoft Word, HTML, and Adobe PDF. Specifications will be available in Adobe PDF format. Drawings will be available in TIFF format. Offerors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes for this specific solicitation, will need to subscribe to this solicitation at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. ANTICIPATED SOLICITATION ISSUED DATE: June 1, 2004 ANTICIPATED PROPOSAL RECEIPT DATE: July 1, 2004. Proposal receipt date is approximate; actual date will be established at the time proposal documents are available. DESCRIPTION: The work of this contract consists of the general construction of Willow Beach wastewater system improvements. The work includes, but is not limited to: site demolition, preparation, excavation, and filling; septic tanks; fish cleaning station; gravity sewer piping and manholes; new lift stations and associated force main; recirculation tank; recirculating sand filter; electrical work; controls and instrumentation; site grading; drainage improvements; gabions; disposal fields; sludge evaporation beds; sanitary dump station; control building and carport; and miscellaneous work and appurtenances. TYPE OF PROCUREMENT: A negotiated firm-fixed price contract will be awarded requiring submission of both a technical and a price proposal. The Government will consider an offeror's technical capability in comparison to its price. ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: $1,000,000.00 to $3,000,000.00. TIME FOR COMPLETION: 365 calendar days. The National Park Service encourages participation of small, small-disadvantaged, service-disabled veteran-owned, and women-owned business enterprises.
