- The Department of the Navy has a requirement for shipboard furniture within the CO's quarters. This requirement is being issued by GovWorks under the franchise authority of the Department of the interior on behalf of the Department of the Navy for the USS Eisenhower in accordance with FAR 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Tecnico Corporation under the authority of FAR 6.302.1, based on a best value determination where Tecnico demonstrated past performance, delivery time, their technical qualifications, their product's compatibility with existing furniture, and their access to the delivery site, which is a restricted area. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities by submitting specifications or submit a cost proposal. This is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within five (5) calendar days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
