Description
United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area has a project entitled Renovate Parts of Building 3. The project is located at USDA, ARS, MWA, North Central Soil Conservation Research Laboratory, Morris, MN. The work includes but is not limited to: furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other necessary work for the renovation of an existing soil processing building. The renovation includes relocation of the hanging furnace, addition of new coil to the existing furnace, addition of new five ton cooling unit to the existing relocated furnace, installing a new ten ton roof top package air conditioning system for plant growth chamber room, removal of windows between soil storage room and plant growth chamber room and replace with CMU, construction of CMU walls to form a soil storage room and a gas cylinder storage room, replacing dust collection system, adding a louver in the door to the soil grinding room and removal of the unused sprinkler system, demolition of existing walls, electrical and ductwork, and providing new electrical service entrance. The period of performance is 95 days. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the Specifications and Drawings. Estimated price range is: Between $25,000 and $100,000. This acquisition will be procured as a full and open competition under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS code is 238220 and the annual size standard is 12.0 million. This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB). All requests for a solicitation package must reference IFB No. 5114-4-0900 and the contact name above. No telephone requests for the solicitation package will be accepted. All responsible and qualified sources may submit a bid that will be considered by the agency. A pre-bid site visit will be scheduled and information provided in the solicitation package. This will be the only opportunity to visit the job site prior to submission of bid. The anticipated IFB solicitation package will be available on or about May 31, 2004.
