- THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 5 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR STARDUST CLEANROOM - RFO# NNJ04060551Q: Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to the combined synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to address the following questions and associated answers. Questions and answers regarding the RFO# NNJ04060551Q are also posted on the Stardust Cleanroom Acquisition Website and can be located by accessing http://jsc-web-pub.jsc.nasa.gov/bd01/scr/default.asp Questions and answers are numbered sequentially and are in congruence with the "Questions and Answers" posted on NAIS and the Stardust Cleanroom Acquistion Website. QUESTION 12: The website lists the Statement of Work, Drawings, Cleanroom Classification Standards, and other items, but it does not list anything identified as "specifications". However, the drawings continually instructs us to "see specifications." Can you tell us how to get the specifications or indicate which document the drawings refer to? ANSWER TO QUESTION 12: The "specifications" are the ?Construction Contractor's? specifications. The drawings were provided as a reference to the cleanroom vendors so that they could see the details of the outer room construction (these are mainly needed to understand how the cleanroom will tie into the facility). These drawings provide a fair amount of detail -- but more detail is listed in the specifications. Specific things like the outer room paint color, flooring part number, etc. These details should not be necessary for the cleanroom vendor. The requirements for the cleanroom vendor are listed in the Stardust Cleanroom statement of work (SOW). QUESTION 13: The RFO says, "A complete list and samples of all materials (i.e., windows, window gaskets, sealants, flooring, etc.) shall be submitted to NASA with proposal package." Does NASA want the cleanroom vendor to deliver sample windows, doors, doorknobs, walls, HVAC unit, ductwork, etc. or is NASA just looking for samples of certain more specific items Would cut sheets from the various items suffice? If so, which items could be done with cut sheets and which with actual samples? ANSWER TO QUESTION 13: Small pieces from cut sheets will suffice. NASA wants an idea on the wall material, window material, and any soft goods (gaskets, sealants).
