Description
This notice is to inform potential sources that NASA/GSFC has released Draft information related to the HUBBLE SPACE TELESCOPE (HST) ROBOTIC SERVICING/DEORBIT MODULE RFP. This information does not constitute a Request for Proposal, Invitation for Bid, or Request for Quotation, and it is not be construed as a commitment by the Government to enter into a contract. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps and on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service. It is the potential offeror?s responsibility to monitor these sites for the release of any solicitation or synopsis. Additionally, this procurement is subject to review or cancellation at any time. Potential sources are also directed to ( http://hubble.gsfc.nasa.gov/robotic-servicing.html ) to view technical data from the HST Robotic Servicing Mission Concept Review, which is an internal NASA review to assess the current mission concept. Prospective offerors are advised that NASA/GSFC intends to periodically update the internet sites and that it is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the sites for the release of information. NASA/GSFC is also seeking capabilities from small, small disadvantaged and women-owned businesses for the purpose of determining the appropriate level of competition and/or small business subcontracting goals for this requirement. Any such interested offerors/vendors having the required specialized capabilities to meet the above requirement should submit a capability statement of ten (10) pages or less indicating the ability to perform the effort described herein. Responses must include the following: name and address of firm, size of business; average annual revenue for past 3 years and number of employees; ownership; whether they are large, small, small disadvantaged, 8(a), HUBZone, and/or woman-owned; number of years in business; affiliate information: parent company, joint venture partners, potential teaming partners, prime contractor (if potential sub) or subcontractors (if potential prime); list of customers covering the past five years (highlight relevant work performed, contract numbers, contract type, dollar value of each procurement; and point of contact - address and phone number). All responses shall be submitted to the individual listed below no later than 21 May 2004. Please reference HST-DM-0002-GDJ in any response.
