- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for noncommercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N00167-04-Q-0257 applies and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-21 as well as DCN 20040113.The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334112 and the business size standard is 500 employees. The proposed purchase order is being issued on a sole source basis to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Winchester Systems Inc. 149 Middlesex Turnpike, Burlington, MA 01803-4405, to ens ure compatibility with the existing Winchester Systems RAID. The Winchester RAID supports the SCSI interface to the existing Sun Microsystems host computer.This requirement is as follows: CLIN 0001- 4TB SATA SA-3412,SCSI with sixteen 250GB 7200 rpm disks; CLIN 0002- Cold Spare 250GB,7200rpm SATA disk in hot-swap carrier;CLIN 0003- 2nd Year Warranty Extension; CLIN 0004- 3rd Year Warranty Extension. Delivery is required F.O.B. Destination within 30 days after award. Final inspection will be at NSWC-ATD, 740 Mullet Road, Cape Canaveral, FL 32920. Selection for award will be based on past performance and price. Quotes that are non-compliant with any material requirement of this solicitation may be rejected without further consideration for award. All responsible sources may submit a quote that will be considered by the Agency. A Firm-Fixed Price purchase order will be awarded u sing Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
