- Description
- The National Park Service, Pacific West Region-Honolulu Office (NPS) intends to award a sole source contract to the Saipan Portopia Hotel Corporation, Saipan, Northern Marianas Islands, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source will satisfy agency requirements. This requirement is to furnish the American Memorial Park (AMME) with potable drinking water. The water is to be obtained from the reverse osmosis water treatment plant at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on Saipan, immediately adjacent to AMME. Estimated usage will range from between 20,000 to 60,000 gallons/month for the first year or two, to as much as 210,000 gallons/month peak usage over the next five years. The water will be disinfected in compliance with CNMI public health regulations and copies of all tests and reports will be provided to the NPS on a monthly basis. The NPS intends to award a contract for one base year with a possible four option years. Saipan Portopia Hotel Corporation is the only known provider of this service as detailed above. This is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested firms or persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. All proposals received within fourteen calendar days after date of publication of this announcement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Award is anticipated on or about May 31, 2004.
