Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the MSG-Lite equipment. The Department of Justice, intends to issue an award on a sole source basis to the Cavalier Communications, Inc., 12030 Sunrise Valley Drive, Reston, Virginia 20191 for the multifunctional secure gateway-lite system. This system is required to receive and process classified messages. This is the only equipment currently available that is certified by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Responses received as a result of this notice of intent, shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses will not be considered as either proposals or bids. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition, based upon the written responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be submitted to the address shown above by COB 5/19/2004.
