This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Register (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The following clauses are incorporated by reference. Offerrors must include a completed copy of 52.212-3, Representations and Certifications, with their quote (available at www.arnet.gov/far/). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular___2001-23_____. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: Best Value to the Government which includes: Availability and Ability to Meet the Government Need, Price, Past Performance, Warranty offered, Maintenance Availability. Technical and past performance, when combined, are approximately equal to cost or price. Description: One (1)each, Steam heated tray dryer with not less than a 115 cubic/ft workspace volume. The dryer will be used to dry wood fiber, wood particles, wood flakes and wood fiber plastic pellets. Dryer must have 4? tray depth with screened bottoms, operate at 220 F, and have cross air flow. The following criteria is suggested but actual specifications may vary slightly. -Dryer dimension 72?deep x 66?tall x 42?wide -Tray capacity of 42?long x 20?wide (must have 4? depth) -24 Tray capacity (must have screened bottoms) -Temperature display -Programmable drying rate control and auto shutdown -240 or 480 3 phase AC
