- Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation or solicitation amendments. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway at http://progate.daps.dla.mil/home AFTER June 2004. From the Gateway homepage, select "Search RFPs" from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFP you wish to view. You must be registered in order to download RFPs. If you are not, you will be directed to register at time of download. In order to ensure e-mail notification of RFPs, prospective vendors MUST go to the RFP Information page and select DSCP Clothing & Textiles (C&T) as the commodity center from which notices will be sent. Important Note on Foreign Content The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as ?The Berry Amendment? impose restrictions on the DoD?s acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and ?specialty metals? (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies. DESC: Solicitation SP0100-04-R-0129 is for Cloth, Gabardine, Poly/Wool, Blue 3346. The applicable NSN for this procurement is 8305-01-414-1555. The purchase description is MIL-C-10176 dated 06 Jan 1989. The purchase quantity is 77,000 yds. There are two (2) additional term options. The destination is Albany, GA. The production leadtime is 330 days with 6 deliveries. This is a Best Value acquisition with Source Selection Procedures. The following factors will be used in descending order of importance: Past Performance, Quality Assurance, Socioeconomic/DLA Mentoring Business Agreement, and JWOD. This solicitation will be issued as an Unrestricted buy that will result in a firm fixed price definite quantity contract. All materials used in the fabrication of the end item are to be furnished by the Contractor. The Government does not intend to use FAR Part 13 for this acquisition. Reference Numbered Notes 9 and 26.
