Description

Vicksburg Consolidated Contracts Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to Avaya Inc. Government Solutions Branch, 4250 North Fairfax Drive, Suite 1000 (10th flr.), Arlington, VA 22203-1603. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) ?????? only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Avaya Inc. is the only known source capable of meeting the Government?? ????s requirements due to several feature functions offered and is interoperable with the NAS Fallon telephone switch facility which is installed and proven in Department of Defense facilities for use in military and inherently governmental activities and operations. The purchase of non-compatible equipment lacking the required features will adversely impact the Governments mission??????s requirements. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submi t their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later that 4:00 CST on 17 May 2004. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral comm unications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
