- ATTENTION****FORMAL COMMUNICATION RELATED TO THIS ACQUISITION SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO: Darlene Thomas, Contracting Officer, FAX 256-876-9066, E-mail: Darlene.thomas@peoavn.redstone.army.mil; NSN: 1615-01-113-0263; P/N: 145D1307-5; PRON: AX4C0381AX; NOUN: Housing, Main Assembly; Quantity: 50 Each applicable to CH-47 (Chinook) with deliveries to Texarkana, TX 75507-5000. Required delivery with First Article Testing is 50 each 420 days after contract award. Required delivery without First Article Testing is 50 each 280 days after contract award. Required delivery with Alternate II Testing is 50 each 350 days after contract award. This item is restricted to the approved businesses The Boeing Company, CAGE Code: 77272 and Northstar Aerospace (Chic ago), CAGE Code: 22907 because this part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). Adequate technical data is not available for this acquisition. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. Firms that recognize and can p roduce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website www.redstone.army.mil/cmo/ and looking under Qualification Procedures for Aviation Requirements. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release for solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the date stated above. Foreign Firms are reminded that all requests for solicitation must be processed through their respective embassies.
