Description

Sources Sought for Support for Force Transformation Office (FTO), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) for Information-Age Military Force Transformation (IAMFX) Defense Contracting Command-Washington (DCC-W), in support of the Force Transformation Office (FTO), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) is conducting a market survey in accordance with FAR 10.0001 to determine the extent of Small Business participati on and capability to perform the Force Transformation Office requirement summarized below and in accordance with the statement of work. Interested parties may access the Statement of Work at: http://dccw.hqda.pentagon.mil/services/sole.htm Title: SOW Information Age Military Force Transformation The NAICS code is 541611 and size standard is $6M. This is not a request for proposal. The contractor shall provide comprehensive support to the FTO, OSD, in it's objective to organize, expand, and enhance information-age warfare by leveraging information-age warfare modeling, war gaming and knowledge management tools. To identify opportuni ties, apply trends, foster innovations, and create breakthroughs across the three domains of conflict (physical, information, and cognitive) in the application of such tools. To impact information-age warfare across the physical domain, information domain , and cognitive domain and at the domain intersections that currently or potentially affect the transformation of the military force structure; e.g., mission, organization, equipment, logistics, training, etc. Contractor effort under this contract shall be available, as appropriate and with the consent of FTO, to other elements of the Defense Secretariat, the Joint Staff, Defense Agencies, the Combatant Commands, and the Military Services. The expected period of performance will be for a base period of 12 months with four 12 months options. Performance shall be principally at the contractor's facility with occasional visits to the FTO facilities at the Pentagon and in Rosslyn, Arlington, Vir ginia. Contractor personnel must be located in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area.
