Description
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) 400 Seventh Street, SW, Washington, DC 20590 intends to enter into a competitive 8(a) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for safety audits. The purpose of these safety audits is to provide the motor carrier with guidance and technical assistance; and to evaluate the adequacy of the carrier?s safety management practices. The unit of issue is each. The minimum guaranteed amount is $100,000 and the estimated maximum quantity is 10,000 safety audits if all options are exercised. Task Orders under this contract maybe issued on a fixed price or cost reimbursement basis. Period of Performance: The estimated period of performance for the base period is from date of award through September 30, 2004 with four (4) one year (12 month) option periods. NAICS code is 541611. The size standard is $6 million. Requirements will be further defined in the solicitation. The solicitation and all related documents and amendments, if any, will only be released and available electronically through the Electronic Posting System at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. As such, no written, telephonic, facsimile or email requests for the solicitation package will be honored. Interested parties can register at the aforementioned website to receive procurement announcements by email. The Government anticipates issuing a Solicitation on or about May 26, 2004 with anticipated award date of July 8, 2004. Since this solicitation will only be available electronically, it is the responsibility of interested parties to monitor the EPS website for the solicitation and amendments.
