- THIS PROJECT WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR VIEWING AND PRINTING IN APPROXIMATELY 15 DAYS. The work shall consist of removing four existing fish barrier culverts; clearing; constructing temporary stream diversions; structure excavation; furnishing and installing four structural-plate bottomless arches with precast concrete footings; pit development; placing riprap; constructing grade control structures such as rock weirs and rock aprons, placing aggregate; removing and replacing fence; providing the associated soil erosion and pollution control; and providing and installing construction signs. There are two project areas with two work sites at each project area located on the Lowman and Emmett Ranger Districts, Boise National Forest. The project areas are in Valley and Gem Counties, Idaho. To reach the Emmett RD sites, take Hwy. 55 from Boise, Idaho through Horseshoe Bend to the junction with Hwy. 52. Take Hwy 52 to Ola and the junction with Road 618, then take Road 618 to Road 653 at the Third Fork Guard Station. Take Road 653 for about 8 miles to the Wilson site, then 1 more mile to the Rammage site. From Boise, total distance is about 73 miles of which about 26 miles are on gravel and dirt roads. To reach the Lowman RD sites, take Hwy. 55 from Boise to Banks and the junction with Hwy. 17. Take Hwy. 17 to Lowman and turn left on Hwy. 21. Take Hwy. 21 for about 0.1 mile and turn left on to Road 582. Take Road 582 for 20 miles (Casner site). Continue on Road 582 for about 3 miles to Road 563 and take Road 563 for 0.5 miles to the second site. From Boise, total distance is about 96 miles of which about 20-24 miles are on dirt and gravel roads. NAICS code is 237310. Size standard: $28.5 Million. Estimated start date is July 12, 2004 with 137 calendar days for completion. The estimated price range is $250,000 to $500,000. This proposed procurement is under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, which is not a small business set-aside.
